Reviews

The lexicon of international film wrote, the film is an " expensively produced monumental epic whose effort disproportionate to the content " stand. The staging was a " heroic saga in externalized comic style. "

" Seems an irreverent writer, comic strip episodes, harmless violence and the magnificent on artificial way, costumes and sets combine to form an entertaining example of those fine instinct that Cottafavi (...) for this type of movie to have. "

" The Anfangskeilerei the Herkuleskumpane is so gorgeous staged and recorded with camera so agile that I prefer the stiff pathos in Eisenstein's much vaunted Battle on the Ice without hesitation. "
