Hermann Erhardt

Hermann Erhardt ( born January 9, 1903 in Landshut, † November 30, 1958 in Vienna; native Hermann Maier ) was a German actor.

Life

Erhardt played since the twenties at various provincial theaters and in the thirties and the Schliersee Bauerntheater. During this time he received his first film roles by producer Peter Ostermayr. Embodied preferably in alpine environment Erhardt as a supporting actor the typical " grown men picture".

In 1939 he received an engagement at the Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna, where he lived henceforth. Until 1954 he was a member at the Theater in der Josefstadt the ensemble. Erhardt has since been seen primarily in Austrian films and mimed in numerous productions neighbors, co-workers, farmers, local elders as the mayor of The forester from Silverwood. Both in the American film The Magic Face grotesque as well as in the war film The last act he performed as Reich Marshal Hermann Goering. In the home movie The sacred heritage, at the same time Erhardt's last film, he was the only time actor and played a hunter who must defend themselves against slander to defend.

His grave is located at Grinzinger cemetery in Vienna Gr.21 / series 9/Nr.15
