Hindaste

Hindaste is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Nõva ( Nõva vald ) in Lääne.

Population and location

The village has 17 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011). The area belonged since the 14th century the nunnery of Lihula. 1402 the village was placed under the monastery Padise as part of a land swap under the name Intas or Inthosz.

Southeast of Hindaste the lake of the same name is Hindaste järv. It is 0.8 acres in size. The lake is part of the conservation area to the moor Suursoo.
