Hipster hop

Hipster Rap is the 2008 coined by the media name of a popular in hip-hop, ostensibly avant-garde fashion that serves as a demarcation from the gangsta and hardcore rap. Was justified, the subgenre of Kanye West, whose song Stronger considered the first hipster rap song. Other pioneers are Andre 3000, Pharrell Williams ( NERD ) and Lupe Fiasco. The term is, however, not used by the performers themselves.

Hipster Rap is defined primarily on the song lyrics. These describe, in contrast to the traditional rap content on street life and celebrations rather banalities such as the skateboard ( Lupe Fiasco ) and BMX ride ( The Cool Kids), the veneration of the game character Sonic (Charles Hamilton ) college life ( Asher Roth) and fashionable status symbols such as Sneakers (whales ). Musically, the hipster rap mixes variety of styles with rap.
