Hiroyuki Imaishi

Hiroyuki Imaishi (Japanese今 石 洋 之, Imaishi Hiroyuki; born October 4, 1971 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a Japanese animator and anime director.

Career

Hiroyuki Imaishi studied at the School of Art Tama. After graduating, he began a job as an animator in animation studio Gainax, where he first worked in 1996 as an intermediate illustrator for the Neon Genesis Evangelion series.

Having previously only took over animation tasks, was conferred on him in 1997 for episode 19 of the series Kare Kano the script, continuity and the artistic director.
