Hittnau

Hittnau is a municipality in the district of Pfäffikon of the canton of Zurich in Switzerland. To the community includes the villages of Upper and Unterhittnau, Isikon, hazel, Dürstelen, Schönau and Hofhalden.

Geography

Hittnau is above the Pfäffikersee on the road between the Glatt valley and the Tösstal. The Kempt flows through the village is the first village after their source. The highest point of the municipality is the Stoffel 928 m above sea level. M., has the lowest point of the municipality Tobel the pond to 604 m above sea level. M.. The municipality is located mostly at the western foothills. From the community area are 50.3% agriculture, 37.2% is covered by forest, 4.2% is traffic area and 7.6 % urban area and 0.4 % are waters.
