HMAS Waller (SSG 75)

The HMAS Waller (SSG 75) is the third -built submarine of the Australian Collins class.

The ship is named after the Australian Captain Hector Waller. Waller was in 1942 during the Battle of the Java Sea.

The submarine was laid in 1992 in Osborne in Adelaide on keel and put into service in 1999.

2008, the Waller participated in the RIMPAC exercise and sank in the first test of CBASS version of the Mark 48 heavyweight torpedoes U.S. destroyer USS Fletcher ( DD -992 ).
