Hoofdklasse (women)

The Hoofdklasse is the second highest division in the Dutch women's football. It was replaced in the summer of 2007 by the Eredivisie top flight, which was in turn replaced in 2012 by the Belgian-Dutch League BeNe. In the Dutch men's soccer the Hoofdklasse is the fourth highest league.

Mode

In the course of a season, each team plays twice against every other team. Thus, each team comes to 18 games in a season. The two last-place teams must descend, a climb to the League BeNe is not possible.
