Horní Olešnice

Horni Olešnice ( German Upper Oels) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located four kilometers southwest of Hostinné and belongs to Okres Trutnov.

Geography

Horni Olešnice is located north of the kingdom forest in the Giant Mountain foothills in the valley of the brook Kalenský creek. Together with the subsequent Prostřední located southeast Olešnice and Dolni Olešnice makes the place an elongated Waldhufendorf. To the east rises the Rovné (471 m).

Neighboring towns are Klášterská Lhota and Prosečné in the north, Dobra Mysl and Hostinné in the northeast, Na Poste in the east, Prostřední Olešnice and Dolni Olešnice the southeast, Zadnà Mostek, Mostek and Borovnička in the south, Přední Ždírnice and Zadnà Ždírnice the southwest, Čistá u Horek in west and Slemeno and Dolni Kalná in the northwest.

History
