Horwich

Horwich is a town and civil parish in the metropolitan county of Greater Manchester in England with a population of 19,312.

Geography

Horwich is situated in the region North West England, between Manchester and Preston. The town is located 8.5 km south east of Chorley, 9.3 km north-west of Bolton and 32 km north- west of Manchester on the southern edge of the West Pennine Moors. The M61 motorway runs south and west Horwichs near by.

Since April 1974, it is administered by the Metropolitan Borough of Bolton.
