Howrah district

Howrah ( Bengali: হাওড়া জেলা, Howrah Jela ) is a district in the Indian state of West Bengal with an area of ​​1467 km ². The district capital is Howrah.

The district is bordered by Howrah Kolkata, the Hooghly River and the districts of Uttar 24 Pargana, Dakshin 24 Pargana, Purbo Medinipur, Pashchim Medinipur and Hooghly.
