Hungary men's national volleyball team

The Hungarian national volleyball team of men is a selection of the best Hungarian player who represents the Association of Magyar Röplabda Szövetség in international tournaments and international matches.

History

World cup

Hungary was at first volleyball World Cup in 1949 and it was seventh. 1952 the Hungarians reached fifth place their best result. In the next three tournaments they took places eight, six and seven. 1966 and 1970 they no longer get beyond the ranks of ten and eleven and in 1974 they were absent for the first time. In 1978 she took part in the World Cup again and occupied the 14th place.

Olympic games

Hungary took only the first Olympic tournament in 1964 partially in Tokyo and reached the sixth. Also for Beijing 2008, Hungary did not qualify.

European

DC at their first participation in the European Volleyball Championship in 1950, the Hungarians of third parties. After finishing seventh (1955) and five ( 1958), they reached the 1963 final against hosts Romania. Then they took places six and five, before they reached only eleventh place in 1975. Two years later, she missed the other hand, in fourth barely a medal. In 1979, she cut in eighth something worse and 1981 they were missing the first time in thirty years. With the eleventh place, they adopted in 1983 for a long time from the European Championship. After that, she could only 2001 ( ninth ) to qualify again.

World Cup

In their only participation in the World Cup, the Hungarians were 1965 seventh.

Hungary has never been involved in the World League.
