Ibrahim Isaac Sidrak

Ibrahim Isaac Sidrak ( born August 19, 1955 in Beni- Cliker, Egypt) is the Patriarch of Alexandria united with Rome Coptic Catholic Church.

Life

Ibrahim Isaac Sidrak received on 7 February 1980, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On 29 September 2002, the Synod of Bishops of the Coptic Catholic Bishops elected him Bishop of Minya. Pope John Paul II agreed to his election as Bishop of Minya on 5 October 2002. The Coptic Catholic Patriarch of Alexandria, Cardinal Stephanos II Ghattas, CM, donated to him on 15 November of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Bishop Emeritus of Minya, Antonios Naguib, the Bishop of Sohag, Morkos Hakim, OFM, Curia Bishop in the Coptic Catholic Patriarch of Alexandria, Yuhanna Golta, the auxiliary bishop in Alexandria, Andraos Salama, Bishop of Assiut, Kyrillos Kamal William Samaan OFM, Bishop of Luxor, Ezzat Zakaria Badir Youhannes, and the Bishop of Ismayliah, Makarios Tewfik.

On January 15, 2013 Ibrahim Isaac Sidrak was elected by the Synod of the Coptic Catholic Church in Cairo to Coptic Catholic Patriarch of Alexandria.
