Ibrahima Wade

Ibrahima Wade ( born September 6, 1968 in Dakar ) is a former French Sprinter Senegalese origin, who specialized in the 400 -meter run.

In 1996 he won at the Africa Athletics Championships in Yaounde. The following year he was at the World Athletics Championships in Athens the semi-finals and won in the Games of La Francophonie. In the Africa Championships in 1998 in Dakar, he won bronze, and at the 1999 World Cup in Seville, he moved again to the semifinals and finished with the Senegalese team in the 4 x 400 - meter relay to seventh place.

On 23 February 2000, he changed his nationality. At the Olympic Games in Sydney, he reached the quarter-finals in the individual event and came up with the French 4 x 400 -meter relay race to fourth place.

With the relay team his new home he won at the European Athletics Championships 2002 in Munich bronze. At the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004, he left with the French relay in the flow.

1996, 1999 and 2000, he was champion of France. His personal best of 45.05 s he set up in Dakar on 20 August 1998.
