Ifeoma Dieke

Ifeoma Dieke ( born February 25, 1981 in Amherst, Massachusetts, United States) is a Scottish football player. The defender is currently with the Swedish club Vittsjö GIK in the Swedish Damallsvenskan under contract. For the Scottish national football team plays internationally since 2004, in 2012 they took with the Team GB at the Olympic Games in London.

Career

Ifeoma Dieke began with eight years in Cumbernauld with the football games. Because of her talent, she received a scholarship from the Florida International University, where she played for the FIU Panthers. After graduation, she got a contract with Atlanta Beat in the WUSA, but first played in 2007 and 2008 in Swedish clubs. In 2009, she returned back to the U.S. and played in the WPS for two U.S. clubs, but was loaned to the Cypriot club Apollon Limassol in 2011 and moved back to Sweden for the 2012 season.

National

For the Scottish national football team debuted Dieke 2004 against Greece. In 2012 she took first for Britain in the Olympics in part and formed with players from Northern Ireland, Scotland and England a team. In the first game of the team GB on July 20 against Sweden she stood in the starting lineup and was also the first game in the Olympics against New Zealand for use.

Private

Dieke is the child of Nigerian parents who, when she was three years old, moved to Cumbernauld.
