The hedgehog bed ( 373.8 m above sea level. NN ) is the northernmost survey of the Mark Burger forest and the entire hawk forests highlands in the district of Kassel, North Hesse.

Geographical location

The Burger times from the central forest by an elongated clearing the Good Sieber Hausen separated forest lies at the interface of the municipal boundaries of Breuna the west and north, the east and Calden Zierenberg in the south. It is situated immediately southeast of the Breunaer districts of Upper and Lower Listingen, about 2 km east of the Caldener local part Obermeiser and as far north-west of Grace Berger district Hohenborn.

While the highest elevation of the hedgehog bed on the boundary of Breuna rises, southeastern Vorgipfel king's head (about 347 m) is located on Grace Berger reason. To the north- west and the north the landscape via the federal highway 7 drops in the valley of the heat influx Ruhr river, to the east and south into the Warmetal and to the southwest it goes beyond the aforementioned clearing in the main part of the Mark Burger forest above. The majority of the hedgehog bed is part of the nature park Hawk Forest.

Tourism

Immediately to the west along the forest edge from the hedgehog bed leads in the section between low Listingen and Good Sieber Hausen, the trail fairy tale land. To and through his forest area runs the extra tour of the H1 Hawk Forest walkway.
