Igor Budiša

Igor Budiša ( born September 23, 1977 in Osijek, SR Croatia) is a Croatian football player. He plays at the position of central defender.

Career

In his youth he played for NK Osijek, where he also completed his first year as a pro. After that, he was still playing with two other Croatian clubs Dinamo Zagreb and Slavonski Brod Marsonia. In 2000, he played in Germany. First in Germany in the Regionalliga Süd at Eintracht Trier. A year later Budiša went to 1.FC Saarbrücken to the 2nd Bundesliga. In winter, he then moved for € 150,000 to league rivals Schweinfurt. From 2002 to 2003 he played in Greece first at Panachaiki and then at Skoda Xanthi. For the 2004/ 05 season he moved back to Eintracht Trier, who had meanwhile been promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. In the DFB-Pokal, he completed three games for Trier. After two years he moved to the Premjer league to Schinnik Yaroslavl. With the club he got into the first division now and again the following year on. In China, he played one year in the Chinese first division Qingdao Jonoon and then 18 months at Jiangsu Sainty. Then he played again in the first division Croatia HNK Šibenik. After only a year he moved free transfer to newly promoted RNK Split. Since August 2012, however, Igor Budiša play again in his home town of Osijek, this time at the NK Olimpija Osijek.
