Ilfov County
Ilfov is a Romanian county ( Judet ) in the region of Wallachia. Its common abbreviation and the license plate number are IF. As an independent circuit consists Ilfov since 10 April 1997.
The circle surrounds the capital, Bucharest, Ilfov. To the north it borders on the Prahova county, on the east by the circles Ialomita and Calarasi, in the south and the west by the Giurgiu County, further he is bordered to the west by the Dâmboviţa county.
Demography
As of the 2002 census had the Ilfov County 300 123 inhabitants and a population density of 190 inhabitants per km ².
2011 had 388 738 inhabitants of the district thus a population density of 246 inhabitants per km ²

The county has a total area of 1583 km ², equivalent to 0.66 % of the area of Romania and is the smallest of the 41 circles.
