Illinois Route 131

The Illinois State Route 131 ( IL 131 short ) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Illinois, which runs in a north -south direction.

The State Route begins at the Illinois State Route 176 in the center of Lake Bluff and ends after 24 kilometers near Pleasant Prairie on the border with Wisconsin. After the border, the road turns into the Wisconsin State Route 31.

Course

The IL 131 leaves the city of Lake Bluff in a northerly direction parallel to U.S. Highway 41 in the west and the Illinois State Route 137 to the east. West of North Chicago crosses State Route the Green Forest bed. After it passes to the east Waukegan and meets in the Green Bay Road onto State Route 132 north of the city runs the road at the Waukegan Regional Airport along. In the west the town of Zion State Route 173 is crossed before the IL 131 ends after a total of 24 kilometers of the border with Wisconsin.
