Inga and Anush Arshakyan

Inga & Anusch (Armenian Ինգա եւ Անուշ ) is a folk-pop duo from Armenia, consisting of the sisters Inga Arschakjan (Armenian Ինգա Արշակյան / Inga Aršakyan ) ( born March 18, 1982 in Yerevan ) and Anusch Arschakjan (Armenian Անուշ Արշակյան / Anowš Aršakyan ) ( born December 24, 1980 in Yerevan ).

Career

Both sisters attended the Sergej - Aslamasjan School of Music and the Arno Babadschanjan College of Music. Anusch studied piano, violin Inga. Then she studied jazz singing at the State Musical Conservatory of Yerevan, which they completed both in 2005.

In 2000 they came to the ensemble of the National Theatre and Armenian song came with this in many places of Armenia, 2002, there was a first tour of the United States. 2003 left the Sisters of the theater and began her career as a duo. It created the albums We and Our Mountains (2003) and Tamzara (2006).

On 14 February 2009, the sisters won the Armenian preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow. With her ​​song Jan Jan they reached the fifth spot in the semifinals on May 12, thus qualifying for the final on May 16. There, the two reached the tenth position - after two eighth and a fourth until then worst result for Armenia, since 2006 the country took part for the first time.
