Eva Rivas

Eva Rivas (Armenian Եվա Ռիվաս, Russian Ева Ривас; born July 13, 1987 in Rostov-on- Don, actually Valeria Alexandrovna Reschetnikowa - Zaturjan ) is a Russian -Armenian singer. She represented Armenia at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo with the song Apricot Stone.

Biography

Eva Rivas was born in 1987 as Walerija Reschetnikowa - Zaturjan (Russian Валерия Решетникова - Цатурян ) in the Soviet Union. Her father has Russian, Armenian and Greek ancestors. Her mother is from Armenia. Her musical training began in elementary school, where she was a member of the Armenian chorus. In 1996, she joined the residents in her hometown of Armenian Children's Choir Arewik, which they should belong to 2004. During this time she performed as a chorus member of both Russian and foreign-language pieces of different genres and also performed as a solo artist in appearance. With the ensemble, she won several national awards in Russia and collaborated with the singer Arame. They also had success as a solo singer.
