Internationale Medienhilfe

The Association of International Media Assistance ( IMH ) is a worldwide voluntary non-governmental organization (NGO ) from the media and culture in which intercultural media, migrants media and Jewish media have joined forces. There are now members and representatives in over 50 countries, including in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Especially known projects of IMH are the international internship placement program and the scholarship program in cooperation with the European Union, the commitment to press freedom, relief efforts in media marketing and international media conferences with prominent politicians.

The IMH was in the early 1990s by Björn Akstinat together with media professionals from Israel (eg, from the daily newspaper Israel News ), Romania, Germany, Belgium, Russia, Canada and founded from other countries.

Among the Member media today include the publications Prager Zeitung, Pester Lloyd ( Budapest), the Grenz-Echo, The Nordschleswiger Serbske Nowiny, Russkaya Germanija ( Русская Германия ), the Moscow German newspaper or the international radio stations Radio Vaticana and Radio Prague.

Regularly organized the IMH in various German and foreign cities media meetings and media exhibitions. Among the speakers at these events so far included, among other things, Berlinale director Dieter Kosslick, Benita Ferrero- Waldner, dpa- manager Roland friend, TV presenter Tatjana Ohm, Steffen Möller, Marijke Amado, Tina Hassel, documentary filmmaker Felix Kuballa, Prime Minister Karl -Heinz Lambertz, Miriam Meckel or Stephan Remmler.
