Irina Beglyakova

Irina Anatoljewna Begljakowa (Russian Ирина Анатольевна Беглякова, English transcription Irina Beglyakova, born Челная - Tschelnaja - Chelnaya, . Born February 26, 1933) is a former Soviet discus thrower.

At the European Athletics Championships in Berne in 1954, she won the silver medal.

On October 30, 1956, she presented in Tashkent with 52,71 m their personal best on. A month later she took at the Olympic Games in Melbourne with 52,54 m silver behind Olga Fikotová from Czechoslovakia ( 53.69 m ) and before her compatriot Nina Ponomareva ( 52.02 m).

In 1958, she finished fourth at the European Championships in Stockholm.
