Properties
Iron (III ) fluoride is a light green solid, which is very slightly soluble in water. It crystallizes in a trigonal structure ( VF3 - type, space group R3c ) .. In addition, there is a form of iron (III ) fluoride, in a variant of the pyrochlore structure (space group Fd3m ) crystallized.
Use
Iron (III ) fluoride is mainly used in the production of ceramics.
