Isauro Gabaldon

Isauro Gabaldon ( born December 8, 1875 in San Isidro, † December 21, 1942 in Manila ) was a Filipino politician. Between 1920 and 1928 he represented the Philippines as a delegate ( Resident Commissioner ) in the House of Representatives of the United States.

Career

Isauro Gabaldon attended the public schools in the Spanish Tébar. He also completed additional schools. After a subsequent law studies in Madrid and at the University of Santom Thomas in Manila and its made ​​in 1900 admitted to the bar he worked 1903-1906 in this profession. Politically, he was a member of the Nacionalista Party. In 1906 and 1912-1916, he served as governor of the province of Nueva Ecija. From 1907 to 1911 he was a member of the House of Representatives of the Philippines; 1916-1919 he was a member of the local senate.

1920 Gabaldon was of the Philippine Legislature as a non-voting delegate for three years in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Teodoro R. Yangco on March 4, 1920. After two re- elections he could remain until his resignation on July 16, 1928 in Congress. In 1934 and 1935 he was again a deputy in the Philippine House of Representatives. He died on December 21, 1942 in Manila, where he was also buried.
