Issara Kachaiwong

Issara Kachaiwong ( born October 4, 1983 in Chanthaburi ) is a Thai snooker player.

Career

Issara Kachaiwongs first major success was the Thai U20 Championship title in 2002. Further successes was the victory in the Thai Games in 2004 and the Southeast Asia Games 2005.

In 2006 he won the ACBS Asian Snooker Championship against Mohammad Shehab and thus qualified for the first time for the snooker main tour. In his debut season on the professional tour, he scored at the Grand Prix 2006, where he came through the qualifying group stage by four wins from five games. In the next round he beat Alan McManus and inter alia, James Wattana, but fell just short of qualifying for the knockout stages of the tournament. At the end of the season he was number 79, which he could not qualify directly for an additional year on the professional tour, but received a wildcard.

In his second season, his most successful performance was the advance in the qualifying round of the last 64 at the Snooker World Championship 2008 by beating Tony Drago and Tom Ford However, he missed again the qualification to remain on the professional tour.

In 2010 he managed to return by a new victory at the ACBS Snooker Asia Championship, this time in the final against Muhammad Sajjad. On the main tour but he could not prevail again, at the end of the season he was ranked 87th
