It's Alright with Me is the third album by American soul singer Patti LaBelle from the year 1979.

Background

After the first two albums flopped more or less, Labelle worked this time with the producer Skip Scarborough on the album. But despite great promotional work was also this album is a flop. Two years and one album later left LaBelle Epic Records and moved to Philadelphia International. Known titles on this album are the disco - piece Music is My Way of Life and the ballad Come What May However, although published at the height of the disco wave, the album contains not too many dance rhythms. Ballads and slow pieces dominate.

Reception

Overall, according to Alex Henderson of Allmusic was on It's Alright with Me, the "Material satisfactory but not remarkable ". It was not bad, but also not essential disk LaBelle. Two and a half stars out of five have been awarded.
