Iulian Chiriță

Iulian Chiriţă ( born February 2, 1967 in Targoviste ) is a former Romanian football player. He played a total of 262 games in the highest Romanian football league, the Divizia A. As a national player, he participated in the World Cup 1994.

Chiriţă came into the squad for the first team of CS Târgoviste that his time in the second Romanian league, the Divizia B, played in 1985. At the beginning of 1988 obliged him Erstligist Flacara Moreni. There he could 1988/89 to finish the season in fourth place and qualify for the UEFA Cup. There, he left with his team in the first round against FC Porto from. In the championship Flacara finished only 16th place and were relegated. Chiriţă remained in the House of Lords, because it FCM Braşov took them under contract.

With his new club Chiriţă played in midfield in the league, before Rapid Bucharest signed him in January 1992. With Rapid he played in the following seasons to qualify for the UEFA Cup and was able to contribute each season between eight and twelve hits. In 1995, his team pulled the cup final, but was defeated there Petrolul Ploiesti on penalties. In September 1996 Chiriţă returned to Braşov, but switched at the beginning of 1996 to Dinamo Bucharest. A year later he moved to FC Arges Pitesti, where he was in third place in the season 1997/98. After another season at his hometown club Chindia Targoviste in Divizia B he ended his career in 1999.

National

Chiriţă came three times in the Romanian national team to use. He made his debut on 20 April 1994 in a friendly against Bolivia. In the next two games, he came to brief appearances he was nominated by coach Anghel Iordănescu for the World Cup in the United States, where Chiriţă not, however, was used.
