Ivan Goff

Ivan Goff ( born April 17, 1910 in Perth, † September 23, 1999 in Santa Monica, California ) was an Australian screenwriter and producer.

Life

Goff grew up in Australia and left the continent at the age of 20 years. He first worked as a journalist and learned about his service in the United States Army Signal Corps Ben Roberts know.

Goff began his career in the film industry as a screenwriter in 1940. Starting from 1949, he worked closely with screenwriter Ben Roberts together. Prior to 1947, the pair wrote a stage play.

From the mid- 1960s, Goff worked mainly for television. Also at this time, he worked closely with Ben Roberts and developed with him several series formats, including crook against crook and Charlie's Angels.

For the screenplay for the film The Man with 1000 faces Goff was nominated in 1958, together with Ralph Wheelwright, R. Wright Campbell and Ben Roberts in the category of Best Original Screenplay Oscar.

For the Mannix series, he was nominated in 1972 and 1973 along with the rest of the production team for the Emmy.

A marriage ended in divorce in 1964. He was survived by three children.
