Ivana Kubešová

Ivana Kubešová (born Kleinová, divorced Walterová; born May 26, 1962 in Olomouc) is a Czech former middle and long distance runner.

In 1983 she won at the Indoor Athletics Championships in Budapest bronze over 1500 m. At the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki, it was about the same distance Eleventh and retired about 3000 m in the run- off.

One bronze medal over 3000 m at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg in 1984 was followed by a seventh place over 1500 m at the European Indoor Championships in 1985 in Piraeus.

The European Athletics Championships 1986 in Stuttgart, she finished fourth over 1500 meters, and at the European Indoor Championships 1987 in Liévin she took over the same distance bronze.

In 1991, she won her silver at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Seville, but difference over the same distance at the World Championships in Tokyo in the flow. At the European Indoor Championships in 1992 in Genoa, she was seventh over 1500 m.

In 1983 she was Czechoslovak champion in the 3000 m, 1984, and 1986 on 1500 m and 1990 more than 800 m. In the hall she took a 1982 Czechoslovak titles over 3000 meters and 1983 and 1985 on 1500 m. She was Czech champion in the 800 meters in the hall and over 1500 m in the open in 1993.
