Jack Recknitz

Hans -Joachim Recknitz jun. ( Jack Recknitz, Polish: Jacek Recknitz, born May 25, 1931 in Baden -Baden, † January 13, 2013 ) was a German theater and film actor, who also abroad, especially Poland worked.

Life and career

Recknitz was the son of actor couple Hans -Joachim sen. (actually Zinke, 1905-1961 ) and Katharina Recknitz. He began his career as an announcer at the Leipzig Radio. At the same time he practiced in Germany in theaters and also attended drama school in Mannheim. After the actor diploma in 1953, he played in the theaters of Annaberg, Parchim, Bautzen and Chemnitz. In 1965 he moved to Poland. 1966 to 1968 he was a presenter at the international service of Polish Radio, 1967-1980 actors of the Jewish Theater in Warsaw ( in Yiddish ).

Overall Recknitz occurred in about 80 mostly Polish television and movies, playing the roles of foreigners, mainly German, British and Americans.

In 1984 he returned to Germany, from 2008 he lived in his native town of Baden -Baden, but often visited Poland.
