Jackson Square (MBTA-Station)
Jackson Square is the name of a metro station of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority ( MBTA ) in Boston's Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts in the United States. It provides access to the metro line Orange Line.
History
The station was opened on 4 May 1987 in parallel to the Northeast Corridor as part of the renovation and relocation of the Orange Line.

Metro Station has a total of two tracks, which are accessible via a central platform.
Building
The metro station is located in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood at the address 1500 Columbus Avenue at 240 Centre Street. The building is completely accessible.
As part of the Arts on the Line project, the MBTA several large format graphic illustrations of the artist group Hyde Square Task Force and MBTA Community Art Program with muralist Roberto Chao and the metal sculpture "Faces In the Crowd " by Linda and James Toatley were installed in the station. In addition, located outside the station two granite monuments engraved with texts ( " Any Good Throat" by Christopher Gilbert and " Grandmothers " by Christine Palamidessi Moore).

At the station there is a bus connection to five of the MBTA.
