Jacobus Mancadan

Jacobus Sibrandi Mancadan (* 1602 in Minnertsga; † October 4, 1680 in Tjerkgaast ) was a Dutch painter and politician of the Golden Age. He is mainly known for paintings of landscapes of his native province of Friesland. He was influenced by Salvator Rosa.

As a politician Mancadan was the mayor of Franeker from 1637 to 1639 and Leeuwarden 1645.
