Jacqueline West
Jacqueline West is an American costume designer. She is best known for her work on movies such as The Rising Sun, Quills - power of obsession, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button or The Tree of Life.
Life and work
Jacqueline West worked as a fashion designer in the San Francisco Bay Area, with its own shops in Berkeley, California. Contact the scene she got when she assisted the director Philip Kaufman in his film Henry & June in the background as a costume consultant. Officially Jacqueline West began her career as a costume designer then in 1993 with her work for Philip Kaufman's thriller Rising Sun with Sean Connery and Wesley Snipes in the lead roles. Kaufman hired her again in 2000, this time for his drama Quills - power of obsession. For this film, West received her first nomination at the award ceremony in 2001. In 2003 she undertook Stephen Norrington for his fantasy film The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, this Jacqueline West was nominated for a Saturn Award. 2005 production for the drama The New World, their collaboration with director Terrence Malick, which was continued in 2011 with The Tree of Life and 2012 with the film To the Wonder began. In 2009 she was honored The Curious Case of Benjamin Button with a second Oscar nomination for her work on David Fincher's film drama. For Francis Lawrence's film Water for Elephants 2011 she received a Satellite Award.
