James Albert Murray

James Albert Murray ( born July 5, 1932 in Jackson) is retired bishop of Kalamazoo.

Life

James Albert Murray received on 7 June 1958, the ordination to the priesthood for the Diocese of Lansing.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 18 November 1997 as Bishop of Kalamazoo. The Archbishop of Detroit, Adam Joseph Cardinal Maida, gave him on 27 January of the next year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Paul Vincent Donovan, retired bishop of Kalamazoo, and Carl Frederick amount Ling, Bishop of Lansing.

On 6 April 2009, Pope Benedict XVI. its age-related resignation.
