James Sixsmith

James Sixsmith ( born March 26, 1984 in Alexandria, Virginia ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is under contract with the Lørenskog IK in the GET ligaen since November 2011.

Career

James Sixsmith began his career as a hockey player in the team of the College of the Holy Cross, for which he was active from 2003 to 2007 in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Then the attacker was towards the end of the 2006/07 season for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League debut in professional hockey. In the following three seasons he played in the AHL for the Milwaukee Admirals and again the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, as well as in the ECHL for the Cincinnati Cyclones and Utah Grizzlies, where he won the Kelly Cup with Cincinnati in the 2007/ 08 season.

For the season 2010/11 Sixsmith has been committed by the Cologne Sharks of the German Ice Hockey League. In June 2011, he accepted an offer of HK Jesenice of the Austrian Hockey League. In November 2011, the Americans moved to Lørenskog IK in the Norwegian GET - ligaen.
