James Stephen Sullivan

James Stephen Sullivan ( born July 23, 1929 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA, † June 12, 2006 in Fargo, North Dakota) was Bishop of Fargo.

Life

James Stephen Sullivan received on 4 June 1955, the sacrament of Holy Orders for the Diocese of Lansing. Sullivan was Vicar General of the Diocese of Lansing.

On July 25, 1972 Pope Paul VI appointed him. Titular Bishop of Siccesi and appointed him as Auxiliary Bishop of Lansing. The Bishop of Lansing, Alexander Mieceslaus Zaleski, donated to him on 21 September of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Reno, Michael Joseph Green, and the Bishop of Kalamazoo, Paul Vincent Donovan. On 29 March 1985, John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Fargo. The inauguration took place on 30 May of the same year.
