Jan Mulder (footballer)

Johan "Jan" Mulder ( born May 4, 1945 in Bellingwolde, Groningen ) is a Dutch former football player, columnist, author and television commentator.

Mulder grew up in the Dutch Winschoten. From 1965 to 1972, the striker played for the Belgian first division club RSC Anderlecht and scored in 145 league games 91 goals. In the season 1966/67, he was the top scorer with 20 goals in the league. 1972 Jan Mulder moved to Ajax Amsterdam, where he was three years in the Dutch Eredivisie. In 56 games, he hit 16 times the gate. Mulder played five times in the Dutch national team, scoring one goal.

As a columnist, he wrote, among other things, for the Dutch weekly magazines De Tijd and Elsevier. He also writes together with the writer Remco Campert a column in the newspaper de Volkskrant. Together with Campert he made theater tours with literary programs. ( " De Teen " (1993) and " Herinneringen " (1995)). To May 2006, Mulder was a permanent guest of the talk show Barend & Van Dorp, which was aired only RTL 4 and later of Talpa to see. Jan Mulder is the father of ex- footballer and sports commentator Youri Mulder.
