Jang Seung-eop

Jang Seung- eop (* 1843, † 1897), better known by his stage name Owon, was a Korean painter. He is considered the best painter of the Joseon Dynasty.

In 2002 his life was filmed. The film The Big colors and love has been nominated for the International Film Festival in Cannes for the Golden Palm, director Im Kwon- taek received the award for best director.
