Jason Spagnuolo

Jason Felice Spagnuolo ( born August 2, 1984 in Adelaide ) is an Australian former football player.

Career

Spagnuolo played from 2004 to 2006 for the MetroStars SC in the South Australian Premier League. He received in early 2006 for the first time a short -term contract at Adelaide United and came on this occasion to his pro debut in the A-League. For the 2006/07 season he signed a firm contract with Adelaide and established himself in the team. He arrived with the team the championship final in 2007, but it lost to Melbourne Victory with 0:6 and was only loaded when the score was 0:4. Spagnuolo was internally club after this season named the best player of the season as the club champion.

Ways of reaching the championship finals, Adelaide competed in the AFC Champions League 2008 and reached it the first Australian club in the final. There they lost to the Japanese club Gamba Osaka 0-5 on aggregate. A few months later Spagnuolo took Adelaide participated in the 2008 FIFA Club World Cup, looking something with in the opening game against Waitakere United.

In November 2008 it was announced that he originally Spagnuolo to 2010 current contract at the end of the 2008/09 season could dissolve, as he was no longer satisfied with its periods of use. End of December 2008 he signed for the next two seasons, a contract with the newly formed A- League team North Queensland Fury. With North Queensland he missed in the following two seasons each a place in the play-offs, in 2011 the club lost their licenses after ongoing financial problems. Spagnuolo played in sequence again for Adelaide City and reached with the team the championship final in 2011, where they lost against Adelaide Blue Eagles on penalties. Subsequently, Spagnuolo decided to end his football players career to focus more on his job as a real estate agent.
