Previously, he was active in Tarragona and Zaragoza in Aragon. He influenced the painting in Spain over Catalonia addition, in Aragon. Huguet had a large workshop in which his brother Antonio and members of the family of painters potted worked. However, his many jobs had also impact on the quality in his late work. That and the exaggerated use of the well corresponding to the taste of his time gold ground led by his successors ( members of the potted family) to the demise of the Catalan school of painting.

An excellent example of the quality of his painting is the Dreikönigsaltar Condestable Don Pedro de Portugal from 1464/1465 ( Chapel of the Palacio Real Mayor of Barcelona).
