Jaume Plensa

Jaume Plensa ( born August 23, 1955 in Barcelona ) is a Spanish sculptor and artist from Catalonia.

Life

Plensa was an art student in Barcelona at the Escola de la Llotja and the Reial Academia Catalana de Belles Arts de Sant Jordi. He continued his education at the Henry Moore Foundation in England and then in the studio of Alexander Calder in Sache, Indre- et- Loire continued.

Plensa lives and works in Barcelona, ​​where in 1986 held his first exhibition. He taught, among other things at the École nationale supérieure des beaux -arts de Paris. His works have been exhibited in numerous museums and galleries around the world.
