Ernesto Javier Chevantón ( born August 12, 1980 in Juan Lacaze, Uruguay; actually Ernesto Javier Chevantón Espinosa ) is an Uruguayan football player

Association

From the season 1996/97 he is led in Erstligakader Danubios until the end of 2000/ 01. During this period, 55 league games are listed with 50 goals scored for Chevantón. Other sources of lead in 62 games and 53 goals in Danubio for him. In 2000 he was standing in the service of Danubio with 33 -goal top scorer of the Primera División in Uruguay. In the 2000 /01 season he moved from Uruguayan club Danubio to Italy to Lecce, where he completed 88 games and scored 45 goals. 2004 Chevantón went to France in the Ligue 1 for AS Monaco. After two years he moved to Spain after strong performances for Sevilla FC. The term of his transfer fee in the amount of nine million euros allowed him to so far are expensive player Seville. He also was a member of the squad at the U -20 World Cup Nigeria 1999, finished 4th in the Uruguay. Among his local players included, among others Diego Forlan and Diego Pérez. Also in the Uruguayan national team Chevantón was used in 22 games. He made his debut there on 13 July 2001 at the Copa America 2001 in the match against Bolivia. His last assignment in the Celeste dated 11 October 2008.
