Jazz Samba is a bossa nova album by Stan Getz and Charlie Byrd, which was taken on February 13, 1962, was released by Verve on April 20, 1962. Jazz Samba was the first bossa nova album by the American jazz scene and is considered one of the best-selling jazz albums of all time.

Genesis

Though Stan Getz was the star of the album, the album was heavily influenced by the guitarist Charlie Byrd and designed. Byrd had just as his drummer Buddy Depp Schmidt much bossa nova heard on a State Department -funded tour through South America and brought bands, which he enthusiastically played for his fellow musicians.
