Jean Becker (director)

Jean Louis Paul Becker ( born May 10, 1933, Paris ) is a French film director and screenwriter.

Jean Becker began his career in 1953 as an assistant director to his father Jacques Becker. He worked as assistant director Julien Duvivier and with Henri Verneuil together. This was followed from 1961 to 1966 three directorial work with Jean -Paul Belmondo in the title role, the latter film, beloved villain, was a failure, so that Becker retired as a film director. It was not until 1983 he also returned with A Deadly Summer as a director. His film won several Cesar Awards and nominations.
