Jean Peters
Elizabeth Jean Peters ( * October 15, 1926 in Canton, Ohio; † 13 October 2000 in Carlsbad ( California)) was an American actress.
Jean Peters won in 1946 in a beauty contest, a trip to Hollywood. This trip they took to break into the film world by foot. In 1947, she made her screen debut opposite Tyrone Power. In the early 1950s she starred in several films directed by renowned directors. After a brief marriage to an oil boss from Texas in 1957, she married the legendary billionaire Howard Hughes and retired from the film business. Only after her divorce from Hughes 1971, she stepped back into television films. Her life she never expressed, despite some lucrative requests, about her married life with Hughes. Jean Peters died in 2000 from leukemia.
