Jean Shrimpton

Jean Rosemary Shrimpton ( born November 7, 1942 in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire ) is a British model. She was known especially during the Swinging Sixties under the unloved by her nickname The Shrimp and is regarded as one of the first supermodels.

Life and career

Shrimpton was born 1942 in High Wycombe and grew up in a rural area. Her three years younger sister Chrissie Shrimpton was the mid-1960s with Mick Jagger dating and also worked as a model.

At 17, she began training as a clerk at the Langham Secretarial College in London.
