Jeff Toyne

Jeffrey William Toyne ( born January 7, 1975 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada ) is a Canadian composer.

Biography

Jeff Toyne studied composition at the University of Western Ontario and graduated from the master class, also in composition at the University of British Columbia. He then moved to Los Angeles, where he continued to developed at the Henry Mancini Institute. Here he played with with composers such as Jerry Goldsmith, Manny Albam, Michael Abene, Bob Florence, Jim McNeely, Alf Clausen and Horace Silver, where he expanded his musical range to jazz, blues and pop music. After a further one-year study at the University of Southern California, which he finished in 2001, he began then for the composer Ed Shearmur to work.

As early as 1998 Maxwell 's Demon with Toyne debuted as a composer for a feature film. Since then, he was, above all, for the music of television films such as Who is Clark Rockefeller? and Magic Beyond Words - The magical story of JK Rowling responsible, where he received a nomination for last for the Canadian Television Awards Gemini Award for Best Composer.
