Jeffrey Combs

Jeffrey Alan Combs ( born September 9, 1954 in Oxnard, California) is an American actor. He is considered one of the most famous American horror film actor. His most famous role is that of Dr. Herbert West in the classic Re-Animator and its sequels.

Life

Combs is one of the few Star Trek actors who are not only seen in more than one series, but also in the same series played different roles. So he plays the Vorta Weyoun and called the Ferengi Brunt in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. This meant that he was in the turmoil of war to see the end of the series in sequence in both roles. However, he was already playing the dealer Tiron and was in the role of Mulkahey as a human being and thus can be seen without a mask. Even in a Star Trek: Voyager episode, he was seen as Penk. In Star Trek: Enterprise Andorian Commander Shran he played and the Ferengi Krem space pirates in a single appearance. In Babylon 5, he plays in episode 16 of season one Psi agents.

He appeared in the television series 4400 - with 15 episodes in the role of Kevin Burkhoff The returnees. He embodied Edgar Allan Poe in the Masters of Horror episode " The Black Cat ".

Jeffrey Combs was originally already in Star Trek: The Next Generation for the role of Commander William Riker provided, however, different from in the auditions against Jonathan Frakes and should be considered by producers for other series.

He also starred in the "one-man " play " Nevermore ... an Evening with Edgar Allan Poe " at The Steve Allen Theater in Hollywood, California. In the stage play by Stuart Gordon he embodied in March 2012 again Edgar Allan Poe. Combs played his alter ego, Dr. Herbert West in the musical version of Stuart Gordon film Re-Animator.

1991 and 1997, he was nominated for a Saturn Award.
