Jeffrey Tambor

Jeffrey Michael Tambor ( born July 8, 1944 in San Francisco, California) is an American film actor.

Life

Jeffrey Tambor was raised in a conservative Jewish family, and is because of its humble family circumstances - his mother was a housewife, his father floor layers - in Hollywood as someone who has internalized the dream of rags to riches. Tambor graduated from San Francisco State University, and then moved to the Wayne State University in Detroit (Michigan), where he studied acting, and earned his degree.

After minor appearances in smaller theaters in 1977 followed his television debut in an episode of the television series Kojak - Kojak. Between 1979 and 1980 stood Tambor in the short-lived sitcom The Ropers front of the camera, which first gained him notoriety. Since then, Tambor was committed for over 120 television series and feature films. He was two more times leading actor of a TV series. On the one hand stood Tambor from 1992 to 1998 in 90 episodes of the Larry Sanders Show, in front of the camera, and has been nominated four times for an Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a sitcom. 2003 was his second deployment as a member of the main cast of a television program. In Tambor Arrested Development from 2003 to 2006, 53 episodes on-screen presence. In May 2013, the series returned in video -on- demand provider Netflix for 15 new episodes in which he takes up his role again. He was nominated for this role two more times for an Emmy.

Tambor was but also for movies before the camera. However, it was mostly because he asked in supporting roles as a leading man. Among the best known films in which he starred, was one of Hellboy (2004) and The Grinch from the year 2000. Too he lends since 2004 in the animated series SpongeBob SquarePants King Neptune his voice.

About Tambor's private life there is different information. He was perhaps three times, but married at least twice and is the father of three or at least two children. Rumors that he is a member of Scientology, he has denied.
